Checking a private forward does not quietly make it public.
Yaani needs the submitted material to produce an analysis. That does not give the product permission to publish the message, identify its sender, or turn private group activity into a public map.
What Yaani processes
The text and supported attachments you submit, extracted claim or media information, research evidence, analysis events and the finished report. Private operational records use restricted storage and no-store response controls where required.
What a report does not prove
Yaani does not know who originally created a forward, how many times it was shared, who believed it, or where it travelled unless separately documented evidence establishes those facts. The interface must not invent that metadata.
What becomes public
The reviewed case library is a separately curated set of sourced reports. A private submission is not automatically added. When a correction challenge produces a complete four-model review with fetched evidence, Yaani may publish the new sourced assessment as an additional layer on that case. The reader's explanation and private review record are not published. Future observatory views require consent or approved public-source evidence, aggregation thresholds and removal of contributor identifiers.
How long private records are kept
Raw submitted jobs and private queue references default to seven days. Analysis-job and operational control records default to 30 days. Restricted review records and correction leads can be retained for up to 365 days to support quality and correction audits. Automated maintenance enforces these limits. Published reports are retained separately so their evidence and correction history remain inspectable.
Before you submit
Send the message or correction evidence needed for the check—not contact lists, unrelated conversations, account credentials or unnecessary personal information. Yaani uses external AI and research services to analyze submitted material and correction evidence, so do not submit content you are not authorized to share for this purpose.
What Yaani will not build
No sale of private messages, contributor identities, political persuasion profiles, individual forwarding graphs or precise private locations. Similarity does not establish who copied whom, and observation counts do not automatically establish prevalence.
